The finch family love to devour seedheads such as sunflowers, teasels and thistles. Growing such plants and leaving the seedheads untouched is a great way to give them a free lunch.
Once you have finished displaying your card, you can cut out your greenfinch (carefully cutting with the card folded so you have a two sided shape). The bird, with its exaggerated tail, will balance and sway in all sorts of places; on a pot, a shelf, a string, a nail or a twig.
