This year we've gone for rather a chic grey, ice blue and red colourway, we hope you like it!
Well, what would be the fun in using ready made ones? As with our paper animals, these colourful decorations come as flat templates to be cut and stuck into lovely shapes to hang on your tree/mantelpiece/pet*. There are five decorations in total and each one takes about 5-10 minutes to make. They are made from 200 gsm recycled card and are printed in the UK. You will need scissors, glue, some string and a modicom of patience.
*not really suitable for cats
At the beginning of the year Mibo met with WWF to discuss creating a set of 5 endangered mammals to add to our make-at-home paper animal range. After several months of hard graft perfecting the animals, we are really pleased to launch the set which is aptly called "Save Our Species" . The pack includes an amur leopard, a rhino, a gorilla, a panda and an orangutan. There is also an information sheet inside so it is a great way to educate children about these struggling species as well as providing a fun craft project. Each animal takes between 5-15 minutes to make using scissors and glue and the kit is suitable for anyone aged 6 and up (with adult help). Like all of Mibo’s paper range, the animals are printed onto 100% post consumer waste recycled paper using vegetable based inks. The kits are made in the UK.
Save Our Species is for sale here for £9.00 and is produced under license for WWF UK.
Over the past 8 years, Mibo has had great fun designing the branding and product packaging for olive oil producers Nudo. My brother-in-law is at the helm of the company and his great love is cooking, which has lead him to launch a kickstarter campaign to raise the cash to publish a cookery book devoted to olive oil recipes. We were over the moon to pick up our award at Top Drawer a couple of weeks ago. It was a brilliant show for us and we would like to welcome aboard all of our new stockists. Now it's down to some hard graft creating our exciting new troupe of animals, as well as developing some brand new products with some wonderful new collaborators (more on this anon ......)
